I recently added two new cassette strips to my collection. One is the AIWA AD-F880 and the other is the Yamaha KX-930. I had no intention of incorporating any other AIWA since I already have two: the F800 and the XK-9000 (the highest range ever manufactured by the brand). Unfortunately, the F 800 has a […]

Some months ago I got, thanks to a bit of luck, the most sophisticated deck AIWA ever released, the XK-S9000. I still remember to watch and drool while seeing this piece of beauty in the brochure that I still have saved since 1992. I always wondered how much better can it sound compared to my […]
I have been told about this video. I don’t know who Tony Hawk is but seems he’s very famous in the US because of his excellent skating. Well I don’t care about skating but I found interesting that this guy also collects old gadgets and he has a wonderful AIWA HS-J08 in black.

After some years since I’ve published my latest walkman review, the PX101, I’m finally back with a new review. I know some of you were waiting for new content but my work, family and kids didn’t let me have the time to face the effort. Also I became more and more interested in where are […]

After some request, I decided to make a video showing my entire deck collection. So I put all them together in the same table and connected most of the to the audio chain. From left to right and up to down, here are the decks: Pioneer CT-F1250 This deck was their top of the […]

I received at home my old beloved boombox that I’ve had when I was a teen: the AIWA CSD-SR6. I bought this boombox back in 1991, just before I started studying in the university. I’ve had a nice Hitachi 3DS75 and I really was searching for a big -but still portable- improvement. And I found this […]

I’ve recently added a new gem to my collection: the AIWA AD-WX909, which is a very special deck. It’s a dual deck that combines a standard, 2-head deck on the left and a more advanced 3-head deck on the right. As far as I know, it’s an unique model as there’s no other deck like […]
